A red Salento IGT from Castello Monaci, produced mainly from Primitivo and Negroamaro. Careful vinification and ageing in wood give it complexity and depth. It shows an intense, deep ruby red colour with violet reflections. The nose offers ripe red fruit with sweet spice, vanilla and chocolate notes, plus a light balsamic touch. On the palate it is powerful yet balanced, with soft, well-integrated tannins, a full, rounded body and a long, persistent finish.
