Catto's Rare Old Blended (114cl, 40%)

Catto's Rare Old is a blended Scotch whisky from a house founded in 1861, when James Catto began blending in Aberdeen. It is produced by Inver House Distillers and bottled at 40% ABV in a 1.14 litre bottle. The blend combines unpeated malts from the Highlands and Speyside with Lowland grain whiskies. The nose has green apple, sweet grain, light citrus, honey, vanilla and toasted oak. The palate brings ripe pear, sweet malt, soft caramel, honey and toffee, with a little oak spice. The finish is soft, with orchard fruit, vanilla, mild chocolate sweetness and light warming spice.
