Charbay S 211A is a hop flavoured whiskey from Charbay Distillery & Winery on Spring Mountain, St. Helena, California. It is sold in a 750ml bottle.
Inspired by Bear Republic's Big Bear Stout, Marko Karakasevic double-distilled the beer, which is made with five malts, adjuncts and several hop varieties. The spirit was then aged for 29 months in French oak.
The nose is dried apricot and honeysuckle. The palate brings roasted coffee, chocolate malt and orange zest, and the finish carries brown spice, dark malt and lingering dry oak.
