This is a Texas straight bourbon named after the cowboy and Texas Ranger Charles Goodnight. It is distilled, aged and bottled in Texas, in a 750ml bottle at 57.5% ABV (115 proof), as a limited production release.
It was matured for a minimum of 6 years in new American oak barrels.
The nose brings roasted corn, vanilla bean and sweet charred oak. On the palate there is bold caramel, cinnamon, cracked pepper, toasted nuts and dark honey. The finish is long, warm and dry, with lingering spice and oak.
