A red wine from Tuscany made by Il Palagio. La Regista is made mainly from Sangiovese selected from the estate's most mature and productive vineyards. It ferments slowly and ages for at least 24 months in French oak barriques. Deep ruby red in colour, it offers ripe red fruits such as cherry and plum, with vanilla, black pepper, tobacco and chocolate. The palate is full-bodied and balanced, with lively acidity and soft, velvety tannins. It suits Tuscan dishes such as bistecca alla fiorentina, game and aged cheeses.
