A red Merlot from the Il Palagio estate, made from hand-harvested Merlot grapes fermented in stainless steel and aged 12 to 15 months in French oak barriques.
It is deep ruby red with violet reflections. The nose shows ripe plum and blackberry, dark chocolate, vanilla and black pepper. On the palate it is velvety and full, with well-integrated tannins and aromatic persistence.
It pairs with red meat roasts, game and aged cheeses.
