Chanticleer is a bourbon from Chicken Cock, a brand it calls The Famous Old Brand. It is finished in French Cognac barrels.
The release is a nod to the pioneering spirit of the brand's forefathers, who thanked the French for their help in building the country. Today's owners return that thanks to the French for creating the brand they now look after in the 21st century.
