A 12 year old Chivas blended Scotch whisky from the 1970s, in a 384ml bottle. It has a full gold colour.
The nose opens with elegant smokiness, roasted chestnuts, vanilla pods and old orange liqueur, followed by a grassier phase and then leather and phenolic notes. The palate is very creamy, round and polished, with strawberry cake, quince, plenty of vanilla and oranges, alongside a smokiness of roasted nuts, dark praline, toffee and heavy liquorice. The finish is very long.
