Chivas Regal 18 is an 18-year-old blended Scotch whisky in a 1 litre bottle at 40% ABV. Colin Scott created it as Master Blender in 1997.
The blend draws on more than 20 single malt and grain whiskies, each matured for at least 18 years. The malts come from Strathisla, Longmorn, The Glenlivet, Allt-a-Bhainne, Miltonduff and Braes of Glenlivet, with grain whisky from Strathclyde. The components are married in several stages and rest together in oak casks.
The nose offers dried fruit, honey, toffee and orange rind. The palate brings dark chocolate, raisin fruitcake, vanilla custard and fudge, with citrus zest, walnut and gentle spice. The finish is long and velvety, with leather and sweet smoke.
