This is a Mortlach single malt distilled in 1989 and bottled independently by Hunter Laing in its Old & Rare range. It is bottled at 52.9% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Mortlach is the oldest distillery in Dufftown, the centre of Speyside. It was founded in 1823 and takes its water from the Conval Hills. Its whisky is distilled in a special way using six stills, one of which carries the name 'wee witchy', meaning little witch.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
