This is a 2008 Mortlach from Speyside, bottled by Murray McDavid at 54.3% in a 70cl bottle.
Mortlach is the oldest distillery in Dufftown, founded in 1823 on the banks of the Dullan, although its water comes from the Conval Hills. The spirit is distilled in a particular process using six stills, one of which goes by the name 'wee witchy', meaning little witch.
