Chivas Regal Mizunara (75cl, 40%)

Chivas Regal Mizunara is a blended Scotch whisky bottled at 40% in a 75cl bottle. It is built from Highland malt and grain whiskies, each matured for at least 12 years, with Strathisla and Longmorn as the key malts. A portion of the blend is finished in casks made from Japanese Mizunara oak, which gives the whisky sandalwood, incense and coconut character. The nose brings white peach, toffee-coated pear, vanilla cream and a little almond. On the palate, a quick flash of black pepper gives way to caramel, honey and toasted grain, with floral notes and ripe banana. The finish is long, with milk chocolate, pine nut and a touch of leather.
