This is a 31 year old Glentauchers from the 1989 vintage, bottled independently by Chorlton Whisky. It was matured in a bourbon barrel and has a good colour.
The nose is complex and fruity, with pineapple, beeswax, tangerines and fruit gummies, and a touch of mint appearing later. The palate stays waxy and fruity, with apple and lemon gummy notes, plus a little warmth of ginger and pepper.
The finish is long and fruity.
