A red wine from Ippolito, Cirò Rosso DOC Riserva Colli del Mancuso.
It has a bright ruby colour and a direct bouquet of mature red fruits and forest fruits, with balsamic hints, light spicy notes, earthy tones and black pepper. On the palate it shows medium-full body, present but well-integrated tannins and balanced acidity; the finish is savoury and persistent, with fruity and spicy returns. The Riserva designation signals a proposal with greater structure and depth than the base version.
It pairs with roasts, grilled meats and aged cheeses; opening in advance and serving around 16-18 °C is recommended, with a brief decantation to help aromatic opening.
