Compagnie des Indes Reunion 2004 Savanna Single Cask Rum (70cl, 54.1%)

A single cask rum from Réunion, made from molasses and bottled at cask strength, with an outturn of 283 bottles. It comes from the Savanna distillery on the island. Strong estery top notes point to a high-ester rum, with intense fruit aromas and hints of cherry in both nose and palate. Despite the strength, it can be enjoyed neat, with coconut and light smoke emerging in the finish.
