Compass Box Brûlée Royale is a limited-edition blended malt Scotch inspired by crème brûlée and the cooking of seventeenth-century Versailles. It combines single malts from Benrinnes, Clynelish, Speyburn and Ardbeg, matured in bourbon casks and specially treated American oak casks. It is bottled at 49% with natural colour and without chill filtration.
The nose offers caramelised crème brûlée, poached pears and split vanilla pods. The palate is creamy, with clotted cream, honeyed malt, peaches and vanilla custard. The finish is long and silky, with panna cotta, nutmeg and burnt toffee.
