Compass Box Brûlée Royale is a blended malt Scotch whisky inspired by crème brûlée and the cooking of François Massialot at Versailles. It combines first-fill bourbon barrels with custom casks made by Independent Stave Co. in Missouri, using computer-controlled toasting techniques on American white oak. The blend comprises Benrinnes, Clynelish, Speyburn and Ardbeg single malts. Its fruity and creamy character brings together vanilla custard, caramelised sugar and freshly split vanilla pods.
