Crimson Casks is a blended malt Scotch from Compass Box, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in an American oak Oloroso butt and a refill Spanish red wine cask.
The blend draws on malts from Glen Moray, Teaninich, Aberlour and Benrinnes, held in casks that include refill wine hogshead, first fill sherry butts, French oak and first fill bourbon.
The flavour is chocolate fudge cake with clove and cardamom, plum jam and redcurrant jelly, then cherry, toffee and oak, finishing with raisin, honey and brown sugar.
