Compass Box Flaming Heart 25th Anniversary Edition (2025) (48.9%)

Compass Box Flaming Heart 25th Anniversary Edition is a blended malt made to mark 25 years of Compass Box. It is the eighth edition of Flaming Heart, a series first released in 2006. It is bottled at 48.9% in a run of 9,384 bottles, with natural colour and without chill-filtration. The blend uses only peated malts, together with whiskies given extra maturation in French oak casks made for this edition. Benrinnes, Laphroaig, Williamson and Talisker supply the malt. The nose is rich and oily with smoke and spice, with raspberry and apricot alongside tarry rope. On the palate come cloves, pink and black pepper and nutmeg, with medicinal peat and bright, winey fruit. The finish is concentrated, smoky and ashy, with menthol and citrus oils.
