Compass Box Flaming Heart 6th Edition (70cl, 48.9%)

Flaming Heart is a Compass Box blended malt inspired by rock music, and this is its 6th Edition, the 2018 release. It is a limited edition bottled at 48.9% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It combines the spicy character of a single malt aged in heavily toasted French oak casks with the smoky aromas of a peated Islay single malt. In this edition the influence of sherry casks returns, adding a richer dimension. The nose is intense, with nutmeg, lemon, white peaches and mint. The palate is rich, with bourbon vanilla, grapefruit, almonds, ginger and smoky notes. The finish is long and medicinal, with dark chocolate, ashes and candied fruits.
