Glasgow Blend is a blended Scotch whisky from Compass Box, made as an homage to the historical tastes of Glaswegian whisky drinkers. It is bottled at 43% in a 75cl bottle.
About 65% of the blend is Highland and Islay single malt, combined with Lowland grain whisky. It is matured in Sherry-seasoned butts, American oak barrels and hogsheads, and custom French oak casks.
It is described as full, bold and smoky on the palate, with the rich spice and fruitcake-like notes of Sherry cask ageing set against the maritime punch of Islay malt, and a mouthcoating Sherry sweetness.
