Great King Street Glasgow Blend is a blended Scotch whisky from Compass Box, made with a high proportion of Highland and Islay single malts alongside Lowland grain whisky. It takes its cue from Glasgow's long taste for full-bodied, smoky whiskies.
The whisky is matured in sherry-seasoned butts, American oak barrels and hogsheads, and custom French oak casks. It is bottled at 43% with natural colour and without chill filtration.
The nose offers dried fruits, rich sherry and toasted malt, with gentle peat smoke and a touch of coastal freshness. On the palate come fruitcake, raisins and toasted oak, and the finish is long, warm and smoky.
