Compass Box Hedonism 2024 (43%)

Compass Box Hedonism 2024 is a blended grain Scotch whisky bottled at 43% ABV, without chill filtration and with its natural colour. John Glaser created the first Hedonism in 2000, and it now returns as a limited annual release. This first batch draws on more mature grain whiskies aged almost entirely in first-fill Bourbon barrels. It contains the last of the grain whiskies distilled in the 1990s, some from distilleries that used maize in their mashes, which adds a buttery weight. Only 7,746 bottles were filled. The nose offers patisserie aromas, vanilla and clove-infused caramel. The palate brings creamy custard with honey and mascarpone, and a delicate citrus note arrives on the finish.
