This Is Not a Festival Whisky is a Compass Box blended malt created for Fèis Ìle 2022. It brings together single malts from several distilleries, among them Miltonduff and Linkwood, matured in first-fill bourbon, sherry and French oak casks. It is bottled at 49% ABV, without chill-filtration or added colour.
The label nods to René Magritte's "Ceci n'est pas une pipe".
The nose has pear, apple and grapefruit with honey, vanilla, light wood and a hint of white blossom. The palate is creamy, with citrus, almond pastry, juniper, toasted grain and toffee. The finish is medium to long, with vanilla, malt sugar, spiced oak and dried fruit.
