Vellichor is a limited edition Scotch whisky from Compass Box, bottled at 44.6% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It began as an attempt to recreate in whisky the fragrance that the word vellichor evokes, a search likened to scouring second-hand bookshops for particular volumes.
The whisky comes from casks offered by a distiller and bottler in the north of Scotland. They held whiskies that had been blended together in the past and then returned to ex-Sherry butts for further maturation.
