This Glen Spey single malt was distilled in 2010 and released in The Vintage Malt Whisky Co.'s Cooper's Choice range. It matured first in American oak, then received a finish in a Calvados cask. It was bottled at 55% ABV, and 354 bottles were filled from the one cask.
The nose has delicate peach with sweet vanilla, tropical mango and passion fruit, and orchard fruit peel. The palate brings gentle spice and walnuts with sweet poached pear and stewed apple, balanced by subtle malty oak. The finish is fresh and dry, with fruit and spice cutting through.
