A 12 year old single malt from Teaninich distillery in the Highlands, distilled in 2011 and bottled independently by The Vintage Malt Whisky Company as part of its Cooper's Choice series.
The whisky was finished in Moscatel wine casks. It is bottled at a cask strength of 52% ABV and is not chill-filtered.
The tasting notes describe ripe fruit, raisins and peach on the nose, with honey, citrus and a light floral touch. The palate is round, with sweet fruit, caramel, gentle spice and creamy malt, plus white grape and dried fruit from the Moscatel. The finish is long, balancing sweetness, spice and a fresh, fruity note.
