Copper Dog Blended Scotch (75cl, 40%)

Copper Dog is a blended malt Scotch whisky made from eight Speyside single malts, bottled at 40% in a 75cl bottle. It was created in collaboration with The Craigellachie Hotel. The malts are married together in old oak casks for a minimum of three months. The name comes from the Speyside tradition of distillery workers hiding a length of copper pipe, the copper dog, in their trousers to take whisky out of the warehouses. The nose brings toffee apple, pears, green apples and dark berries over vanilla fudge. On the palate there are peach, honey, marzipan and cinnamon, followed by a medium finish of dried fruit, mild liquorice and soft oak.
