This is a 12 year old Speyside single malt from the Cragganmore distillery, part of Diageo's Classic Malts range, in a 75cl bottle at 40% ABV.
It is a sherried malt from Ballindalloch, on the banks of a well-known salmon river. The whisky is rich and slightly floral, with barley notes and a whiff of smoke in the finish.
The palate brings honey, stone fruits, chestnuts, walnuts, almonds and berries. The finish is smoky and of good length, with a delicate peppery spice.
