A 12 year old Cragganmore single malt from the 1980s, in a 75cl bottle at 43% ABV. The colour runs from old gold to amber.
The nose combines peat, citrus and orange fruit with wild dark berries, smoky phenols, shoe leather and tobacco. Syrupy sherry, balsamic notes and creamy vanilla follow, with old cedar wood.
On the palate there are dried peat, sherry, berries, cigars and cedar, with honeyed balsamic sweetness, malt, shoe polish, mint, eucalyptus and hazelnuts. The finish is very long, running through wood, malt, peat, smoke, tobacco, sherry and cocoa.
