This Cragganmore is a 15-year-old Speyside single malt bottled by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society in 2019 as cask 37.124, under the title Master of Disguise. It was matured in a first-fill ex-bourbon barrel and bottled at 57.9% ABV, with 237 bottles in the outturn.
The nose is mineral, with wet stone, chalk dust and flint alongside mango, papaya, passionfruit, lemon peel and honey. On the palate come citrus oils, honeycomb, vanilla cream and baked apple, with a gentle smoky edge. The finish is medium-long and warming, with vanilla, honey and citrus peel.
