Cragganmore 2001 Distillers Edition is a Speyside single malt, distilled in 2001 and bottled in 2014 at 40%. This is a 1 litre bottle.
The whisky is double matured, with a second maturation in Port-wine casks. Cragganmore was established by John Smith in 1869 near Ballindalloch Station, and cools its new spirit in traditional worm tubs.
The palate is fruity, with cherries and oranges leading to rich Port-wine and malt and a lingering smoke. The long finish starts toffee-sweet and ends dry and slightly smoky.
