This is the Distillers Edition of Cragganmore, a Speyside single malt distilled in 2001 and bottled in 2014, in a 1 litre bottle at 40% ABV. It was double matured in Port-wine casks. Cragganmore was established by John Smith in 1869 close to Ballindalloch Station. Its four short stills are fitted with worm tubs, which are still used to cool the new spirit. The palate is fruity, with cherries and oranges leading to Port-wine and malt, and lingering smoke. The finish is long, starting toffee-sweet and ending dry and slightly smoky.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
