This Cragganmore Distillers Edition is a Speyside single malt, distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2020 after twelve years of maturation. It is bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It was finished in Port casks, which bring red fruit notes alongside the oaky, peaty character at its core.
The nose offers roast chestnuts, redcurrants, strawberries and a touch of smoked meat. The palate brings hickory, honeycomb, walnut, waxy orange, red apple and blackberry, and the finish is lingering and salty, with a hint of chocolate truffle.
