This Cragganmore, aged 26 years, is bottled from a sherry butt at a cask strength of 54.7%, in a 70cl bottle. It comes from a run of 300 bottles released by Hunter Laing under its First Editions label, which offers single malts from individual casks at full strength. It is non-chill-filtered and uncoloured.
The nose is rich, fruity and spicy, with plums, cherries, walnuts and a little leather. The palate is spicy, with cinnamon, some ginger, walnuts and chocolate-covered raisins. The finish is very long, with lingering spice.
