Cragganmore Distillers Edition 2022 is a Speyside single malt from the 2022 collection of the Distillers Edition series, in which the whisky is double matured in wine casks. It is bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
This one was matured in Port seasoned American oak, which adds jammy red fruit and a gentle sweetness.
The nose has dark cherries, plums and cocoa nibs, with subtle smoke. The palate brings wine gums, forest fruit, oaky spice and distant bonfire. The finish is drying, with red fruits lingering.
