CRN57 30 Year Old Blended Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 43%)

This is a 30-year-old blended malt from the CRN57° core range, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail at 43% in a 70cl bottle. The range was put together by master blenders to cover the years while malts distilled at The Cairn are still maturing, and it points to the style planned for the distillery's own bottlings. This one hints at how a thirty-year-old Cairn single malt might taste. The name refers to the distillery's position on the 57th parallel north. The nose offers rich fruit cake, candied citrus peel and cinnamon with toffee and Medjool dates. The palate brings spice and pepper alongside sultanas, red berries, oak and floral notes, and the finish is full and sweet, with liquorice and spice lingering.
