Cutty Sark Prohibition Edition (70cl, 50%)

This is Cutty Sark Prohibition Edition, a blended Scotch whisky bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle. It is a tribute to Captain William 'Bill' McCoy, who smuggled Cutty Sark into America during Prohibition in the 1920s. His reputation for refusing to deal with the mob and for supplying the finest, unadulterated liquor gave rise to the phrase 'The Real McCoy' for the brand. The clipper ship on the Cutty Sark label is a painting by the Swedish artist Carl Georg August Wallin, and has appeared on the bottles since 1955.
