Cutty Sark Prohibition Overproof Blended Scotch Whisky (75cl, 50%)

Cutty Sark Prohibition Overproof is a blended Scotch whisky made in honour of William McCoy, who smuggled Cutty Sark into America during Prohibition. It is bottled at 50% ABV and is non-chill-filtered. The blend has a higher proportion of single malt whiskies, matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks. The colour is a warm golden amber, and the mouthfeel is full and velvety. The nose is typically described as ripe citrus, floral honey, sweet vanilla and dark cocoa with a little oak. On the palate come creamy fudge, toffee, dried fruit, black pepper and warm wood spice. The finish is long and warm, with sweet caramel, a touch of peat and drying oak.
