Devil's Share is an American single malt from Cutwater Spirits, distilled and bottled in small batches in San Diego, California. It spends four years in oak barrels and is bottled at 46% ABV (92 proof). The name refers to the share of whiskey that evaporates during ageing.
The nose is toasted malt, vanilla, light caramel and gentle oak spice. Honeyed malt, baked bread, soft caramel and hints of cinnamon and nutmeg follow on the palate, and the finish is medium long, with warming spice and a little oak sweetness.
