D.R.K.N.S.S, short for Darkness, is an 8 year old Highland whisky from Asta Morris, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It matured in an ex-sherry cask, which gives it an intense dark colour and its name. This is batch 3, with 670 bottles.
The nose offers baked apple with jam, vanilla, a light touch of smoke, spice and oak. The palate is creamy and coats the mouth, with figs and raisins, caramel, smoke like a distant chimney, a little citrus and a mineral note. The finish is long and warming.
