Dark Arts Whiskey House Barley Legal Straight Bourbon (75cl, 57.5%)

Barley Legal is a cask strength straight bourbon from Dark Arts Whiskey House, in a 75cl bottle at 57.5% ABV. The whiskey was distilled in Indiana, then blended in Kentucky from three small batch barrels. It is made from a mash bill of 51% corn, 39% rye and 10% malted rye, and carries an age of seven to eight years. Dark Arts is based in Lexington, Kentucky, and was started by Macaulay Minton, who previously ran the single barrel programme at Wilderness Trail. On the nose it shows ripe orchard fruits. The palate brings honeyed chocolate and a buttery mouthfeel.
