Dartigalongue Armagnac XO (75cl, 40%)

Dartigalongue XO is a Bas-Armagnac from Nogaro, aged for a minimum of 10 years in Gascon oak. It is a blend of Ugni Blanc, Baco 22A and Folle Blanche, distilled once in an Armagnacais column still at 58% vol. to keep as much aroma as possible. The family has distilled around Nogaro since 1813, and about 30% of each year's eau-de-vie goes into new oak. In the glass it is a warm honey-gold. The wood is kept light, so the character is fruit-led, with almond paste on the nose and tropical fruit, apricot and vanilla on the palate. The finish is medium-long and elegant.
