David Nicholson 1843 is a Kentucky straight bourbon in a 750ml bottle, bottled at 50% ABV (100 proof). It is a wheated bourbon, given extra ageing for a fuller flavour and a long finish, and it won Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits competition.
The nose offers honey and butter, followed by subtle vanilla and oak. The palate starts smooth, then turns woody and smoky, leading to a long, warm finish with a touch of spice.
