Dean's Finest Old Scotch Whisky is a blended Scotch bottled at 40%. It was produced by Loch Lomond Distillery and bottled for Borco-Marken-Import of Hamburg, mainly for the German market. Both bourbon and sherry casks go into the blend.
The nose is light, with vanilla and caramel from American oak, dry cedar, a little nutmeg, and hints of apple peel and dried apricot. The palate is mild and creamy, with caramel and malt, a touch of tannin and a warmth reminiscent of brandy. The finish is quite short and dry, with a faint herbal echo.
