This is a single cask Deanston 12 Year Old for Cut Your Wolf Loose, distilled in 2012 and bottled in November 2024 at 55.8%. It was released in October 2025.
The whisky was finished in a full-size Moscatel pipe, and 550 bottles were filled.
The nose recalls a freshly baked cake, bready, with ginger heat and orange peel. The palate is warming, with baking spices, candied ginger and a honeyed waxiness, and the Moscatel sits in the background. The finish runs medium to long, between sweet oak and a peppery kick.
