Deanston 18 Year Old Bourbon Finish is a Highland single malt released in annual batches. It was first laid down in second fill casks, then finished in first fill bourbon casks from Kentucky.
After the finish, the whisky went back into the vaulted warehouse at Deanston Distillery, where the stone walls and roof are a metre thick. It is bottled at 46.3% ABV.
Tasting notes describe a sweet and spicy character with barley sugar and gingerbread, followed by a dry, warming finish.
