Deanston 14 Year Old Rare Find (Gleann Mór) is a single cask Highland single malt, bottled at a natural cask strength of 57.3%. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
After fourteen years of maturation the whisky was finished in a first-fill Napa Valley red wine barrique, a type of cask that is relatively uncommon in Scotch whisky. The cask gave 268 bottles.
The nose brings balsamic strawberries, fresh raspberries, buttery flapjack, cinnamon and fresh ginger. On the palate there are ripe berries, plums and sultanas, with golden syrup and a peppery spice. The finish is long and fruity, drying to a lingering cask spice.
