Deerhammer American Single Malt is a whiskey made entirely from malted barley, and it is the distillery's cornerstone bottling.
The mash is porter-style and goes through open-air fermentation before distilling in Deerhammer's own stills. The spirit then matures in charred virgin white oak.
The profile is described as complex, with notes of coffee and chocolate, and distinct from Scottish or Irish malts.
