This is a grappa from the Dellavalle distillery in Vigliano d'Asti, Piedmont, made from Monferrato grapes. It is distilled in a bain-marie in small stills.
The spirit is then aged for 10 years in oak casks that previously held Sauternes, the French sweet white wine. It is sold in a 70cl bottle.
On the nose it shows candied fruit and acacia blossom. The palate is very sweet and lingering, leading to a very long finish with a pleasant aftertaste.
